Getting there:

AIR

The main airports are Nice (c90 minutes drive away), Toulon (c75 minutes but not many flights from UK), and Marseilles (about 2 hours). We recommend hiring a car from the airport and find that https://www.rentalcars.com/ is usually competitive.

TRAIN

The TGV, linked to Eurostar, passes within about 60 minutes drive to the house

You can also get the Eurostar from London St Pancreas to Marseille in 6hrs 45mins (including 1 change). https://www.eurostar.com/uk-en

DRIVE

It’s c1,100km between Calais and La Croix Valmer - which can be driven in just under 12hrs. Therefore most who drive split it up into 2 or 3 days. There are plenty of lovely places to stop / to stay on the way down. Please ask for a recommended route / trip.

Getting around

We recommend having access to a car during your stay and note you can rent a car, moped, mini-moke, bicycle etc from the local rental shop in La Croix Valmer itself: https://bluebikes.fr/agence-de-la-croix-valmer

La Croix-Valmer: A 5 min drive or 20min walk. It has everything you’ll need for your stay, including 2 supermarkets, bakeries, butchers, fresh fruit and veg stalls, a local market and plenty of bars and restaurants.

St Tropez: A 30min drive. Not sure it needs much of an introduction!

Gassin: A 10min drive to this hill top fort, with stunning views and some great restaurants

Cavaliere: 10min drive along the coast. This is where you can hire a boat, walk around the marina etc.

Ramatuelle: 15min drive. Beautiful village nestled in the hills.

Pampelonne Beach: 25min drive. Club 55, Nikki Beach etc can all be found on the famous Pampelonne Beach
